Gas Fireplace Inserts

No more wood to haul in. No ashes. No insects hibernating in your logs. No smoky smell. No worries! When you install a gas fireplace insert, you eliminate all the hassles of having a wood fireplace. With the flick of a switch, you have a glowing fire and instant heat.

Not just instant heat—constant heat, too. If the power goes out, the standing pilot ensures that your fireplace continues to provide heat. The LHEC20 and LHEC30 models have the comfort control system, a beautifully simple way to operate your fireplace by remote. It needs no electricity, lets you control the flame and fan and thermostat in one fell swoop. It has a timer to shut off the fire when you specify, too; no accidents. How’s that for worry-free?

As in all Vermont Castings gas fireplaces and stoves, these gas inserts have the InstaFlame Ceramic Burner—noncorrosive and rust resistant with either four or fivepiece ceramic fiber split oak log sets. Add the large ceramic glass viewing window and enjoy a splendid fire without sparks or ashes.

And you get to choose the look of your new fireplace. Choose black, pewter, or gold plated louvers; arched doors in black, pewter, or gold, or a classic black cast7shy;iron bay window. Or maybe porcelain enamel in either sand or midnight black. Steel surrounds, screen bay windows, filigree kits, ceramic brick lining—you customize the look for your home.

Gas Fireplace Logs

If you love the look of your wood fireplace, you can convert to gas with a gas log kit. Again, no kindling, no hot coals or messy ashes; just turn a knob or press a button.

Each kit comes with:

  • a heavy-duty steel grate that elevates the back log
  • a burner tube that emits flames from both front and back
  • a burner pan that holds lava rock, vermiculite, silica sand, and rockwool to create the look of the ember bed

The silica sand and vermiculite cause the flame pattern to change randomly—just like a wood fire.

And the ceramic logs are molded from actual oak logs—they look so real you’ll be happy to be fooled.
