Wood Fireplace Inserts

Want to spiffy up your old wood-burning fireplace and make it more safe and efficient, too? Then our wood inserts from Dutch West and Majestic offer everything you need. Think of it as slipping a modern, high performance wood stove into your drafty wood-burning fireplace. And, like Majestic’s wood stoves, they’re made of cast iron: durable and solid.

The WinterWarm Fireplace System burns at a whopping 78%, meaning you get more heat from less wood. Compare that to your old fireplace! All the inserts have an enclosed firebox that prevents chimney drafts from entering the room and reduces heat loss. You also get rheostat controlled twin fans for heat circulation, plus a thermostat to control the heat—up to 50,000 BTU per hour. Maybe you’d like to add an outside air kit or install a blower to increase heat circulation.

These inserts don’t sacrifice beauty to efficiency and convenience. A large ceramic glass pane in the door gives you a great view of your fire. Or, you can use the sparkscreen to enjoy every ember and flicker. Cleanup is easier, too, with a covered ash pan that swings out for emptying. And if your old hearth is a little uneven, don’t worry—the inserts have built-in levelers.

And if classic black doesn’t suit you, these inserts come in two porcelain enamel colors: Sand and Midnight. Finish the look with a zero clearance cabinet, or add cast-iron surround panels to the WinterWarm small insert to integrate the firebox into your existing fireplace.
